El Cochino Beach

El Cochino beaches in south Gran Canaria El Cochino beaches in south Gran Canaria

Why it's called Pig Beach we'll never know but El Cochino is a great alternative to the crowds of Playa del Inglés beach right next door.

Not one but three beaches just east of Playa del Inglés beach, El Cochino (Pig Beach) gets the sunshine but has sheltered water and a cliff that stops the wind. It's the perfect spot for families and people who don't want to share their beach with naked people.

Walk to El Cochino along the sand from Playa del Inglés, or along the coastal path from PDI and San Agustín. There's loungers for rent and snack bars on the sand.
